Strange for me to post twice in one day, but I have had a couple different items to discuss.
Today, a friend on myLot.com referred me to X3Bux.com. Now, I have slowed down on many of my PTC sites or paid to click sites, but I'm always looking for new ways to earn. He explained that they do show adult content (note- I am wording this in a polite way, it is very X rated, perhaps porn would be a better word). When I joined, the site had 10 ads for 2 cents a click each. Sign up bonus is $1 and they offer different incentives to purchase memberships to pornographic websites.
Although this is not something that I'm personally interested in, I can certainly see that there would reside a large market for this type of site. And frankly, I can click it and ignore it like I do most of my other PTC sites anyway. LOL
Payout on X3Bux.com is at $3 via AlertPay and you can purchase a premium membership for $4.99 a month or $35 for the year. This awards you many more bonuses if your referrals are active. And they also have attractive referral packages, even being as specific as purchasing upgraded members only.

Part 3 - Traffic Exchanges
This is the last installment to the series on promoting sites. In part 1 explained the importance of promoting your site/blog. In part 2 I explained how to create a splash page and where to use it.
I will use this Part to discuss the different Traffic exchange sites I use. The most important thing to remember is that these sites are most generally being used for the same purpose as you are using them. Members join them to promote their programs and surf to earn credits to promote these programs. That is why it is important to create a splash page that sets you apart from the rest. It needs to be something that people want to click.
Some traffic exchanges have a little more flash or are easier to navigate. But in the end, they are all the same. You click links to earn credits to bring more people to your site. It could get very tedious to describe the minute details of each traffic exchange I belong to.
I will give you the list of sites I belong to in the order that I prefer them, but you may have different preferences so it does not mean that you will enjoy #1 as much as I do.
#1 Trafficera A bit different because you send emails to your team and share a lot of information.
#2 Smiley Traffic A regular traffic exchange that does not have to be refreshed often. Easy to leave open during your regular internet surfing. You can also earn cash for surfing.
#3 Traffic Swarm Easy to navigate. It does log you out quickly.
Simply click the name of the traffic exchange to join.
Thanks for reading the three parts to this series. I hope it has helped you learn the basics of promoting a site.

Part 2 - Splash Pages
This is the second part in the series of traffic and referral building.
Most of you are familiar with splash pages, they are generally what you see if you are involved in any traffic exchanges or click sites. They are a one page gateway to a website or blog.
Why Use A Splash Page
Sometimes sites aren't allowed to have traffic directed straight to their blog or site for fear of breaking the Terms of Use with their advertisers. This creates the need for a splash page. The other reason to use a splash page is to promote a program that may not have a front page that describes it well enough. Or maybe the program does not have a good splash page, so you want to create one that you think would appeal to people more.
The point of a splash page is to make it memorable and make all the information available in one quick view. Remember, people are using a traffic exchange for the same reason as you, to gain exposure. You need something that sets you apart from the crowd that makes clickers want to find out more. Two weeks ago I would not have suggested using traffic exchanges to promote a program because I only ever used generic pages. Now that I'm using a personalized splash page, I am receiving clicks about 4% of the time the link is shown.
I used TE Toolbox to create my Splash Page. It was really easy to create one. They make it really simple to set it up and then they show you how many times it has been exposed and how many clicks you have received. Click here to see my splash page I designed for the Free Online Cash System.
TE Toolbox allows you to create up to 5 Pages so then you can have five campaigns and see which one is performing best, and use that one, or only advertise in that spot. To start using TE Toolbox, click here.
Stay tuned for my next entry when I will discuss traffic exchanges and how to best benefit from them using your splash page.

Cash Back Shopping - Big Crumbs
I joined Big Crumbs quite a few months ago. It is a site you can use to receive cash back shopping. There are many sites that are like this, but BigCrumbs is a little different because you receive cashback on eBay purchases.
I do not know of any other program that allows you to do this. Also, you not only receive cash back from your shopping, but on anyone that purchases through you. So you receive a commission on their shopping.
The best way to look at it is like this.... it's similar to Arbonne, Melaluka, NeWays, Amway or any other Multi-Level marketing program, BUT, you can buy anything you want from just about any store. You do not have to use their products and buy their products.
When you join, you receive your own store so you can simply give that link to friends and family. Forget the programs that ask you to pay for the store and support, Big Crumbs provides it all.

Downline Builders
Some of you may be familiar with these sites, for others, they may be quite new. The sites I'm talking about are Free Money Team, Marketing Pond and the newest on the block, Global Team Club. It is worth noting that the benefit of Global Team Club is that it allows International users in all its programs.
What are Downline Builders?
These sites allow you to advertise one site, rather than 20 individual sites. For instance, if you are a member of Free Money Team, they have SwatCash, Treasure Trooper, Clix4Coins, myLot and more all listed on the site. What you do is sign up for Free Money Team, join all the sites and advertise the one banner.
Pros of this system
The obvious is that you market one site. You don't have to chose which site to market to people. Offer them the one site and they join under you and hopefully join all the programs in your downline. Also, if a referral's referral (confusing I know, LOL) chooses to join a site that the referral is not a member of, they join directly under you. Another thing to note is this, if you are already a member of certain sites in the downline builder, you can email your downline on those sites and inform them of the downline builder. It helps you grow your referrals quickly. And the final word, you really have nothing to lose. If you are already a member of one or more of the sites, by joining the downline builder, you will only increase your chances of earning online. You never have to join a site you have no interest in, simply leave that one blank.
Cons of this system
Someone may already be a member of some of the sites. Therefore you lose any referral income you could have earned from them. Also, they may not be interested in some of the sites so they don't join. Lastly, some people don't understand how the system works, so rather than joining directly from the Free Money Team site, they join directly to the site, therefore, you lose all referral income.
The Verdict
Join the sites. You have nothing to lose and you could receive many active referrals. On Free Money Team I have over 30 people in my direct downline and over 30 that are indirect.
If you decide to join one of the three I'm a member of or all three, make sure you regularly visit the sites. Programs are added and deleted all the time so it's important to get your referral link on there before your downline joins. Sometimes the sites send updates, but many times I find that I have a new program to join by visiting the site.

Yuwie
I keep wanting to submit my new entry, but other pertinent issues keep arising. Today's issue? Yuwie links. Yuwie has changed their referral link. This happened a few weeks back, but I think it mainly went unnoticed. I know I forgot to tell my referrals on it. Also, a user on moola was looking to join and had no luck with anyone's referral link because everyone had the old link up.
Please log into Yuwie and get your new referral link so you aren't missing any opportunities.
Tip of the day: Bookmark all your gpt and ptc sites into folders. I just go down the list of my PTC (Paid To Click) sites and am done them early in the day because I keep them organized.

New sites and cleaning up the blog
I really am working towards making this giant mess, much more user friendly. I envision having various categories.... PTC, PTR, GPTSU, etc, etc, etc. I have really gone off the traffic exchanges because as far as I can tell, they are useless. Granted, they don't take much effort, but even the small amount of time you use, you are wasting it.
Get Ref
Another great site to find referrals to build your downlines. I have to admit that the site is a touch confusing when you first join, but after feeling your way around, it's easy to start building up points so that you can begin purchasing referrals. Afraid you will receive inactive referrals? Don't be!! You do not have to approve your referrals until the referral has proven they are active. You get 10% of all the credits your downline earns up to five levels deep! Also, you receive 2 credits simply for referring someone. Go ahead and start growing your downlines!
Ripped Wallet
I was looking through some other blogs and stumbled across this site. The proof of payment was very impressive. It's the same ol', same ol'. You get paid for completing offers and Minimum payout is $20 via PayPal or cheque. You receive $1 for each active referral you have and you receive 10% for first level and 5% for second level.
